For logistical and geographic reasons it was very difficult to get to exhibit.
For one special show our neighbour flew us in his little plane over to an airfield beside the show venue. Conor sat beside me in the seat behind the pilot and Maddie and Annie-Rose who were only 4 months old and going to their first show snuggled together in the luggage space behind our seats
It wasn't till our move back to our home city of Christchurch in October 2002 that we were able to attend many shows.
We were also able to keep our best puppies and build up quality breeding stock for our kennels.
As of 6th April 2006 the first litter I bred turned 10 years old. Sadly also this year 2006 we lost their mother our lovely Polly, Charterhall Pavlova. She would have been 13 years old at the end of September. She will never be forgotten. At Inniscroft we are lucky to have her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
This year we were also fortunate to have attended The Golden Gathering at
Guisachan in the Highlands of Scotland ~ "The birthplace of the Golden Retriever" This was the 60th Anniversary of The Scottish Golden Retriever Club. A truly memorable experience.
After more than 12 years of owning Goldens, 10 years of breeding and about 5 years of showing, our enthusiasm and delight in this wonderful breed has only grown stronger.
We have met some wonderful families who share our love of this breed and we
aspire to continue to breed sound, healthy and beautiful puppies with the typical "Golden" temperament.
